Job Description

Job Summary:
Inglenook is seeking a passionate and creative individual to lead our Events team. Tucked away on 1,700 acres surrounded by beautiful vineyards and rolling hills, Inglenook is America's grand wine estate. Our Event Manager is responsible for promoting and soliciting private, corporate and hospitality events at the estate, and offsite locations, which bring the client's vision to life while maintaining Inglenook's dedication to its heritage, quality and aesthetic. They will use their talents to develop unique and exciting experiences. It takes a team of creative partners to produce events at the level we do. The successful candidate will work closely with a list of preferred vendors and colleagues while developing new business connections. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Event Sales and Operations (70%) Effectively sell and oversee execution of events, including but not limited to corporate events, holiday parties, rehearsal dinners, celebration lunches and industry events, that meet or exceed annual revenue goals. Actively solicit new business and develop new vendor relationships. Conduct all sales related interactions with the highest level of professionalism, including appearance. Work with DMCs, Event Planners and clients in the creative development of each event. Ensure event décor, themes and designs remain true to Inglenook's aesthetics. Represent and promote Inglenook at industry meetings, events and trade shows. Assist with event operations and coordination as needed including wine club, trade and family events both onsite and off-site. Ensure that guests have a positive and memorable experience. Develop new locations to host events both on property and remotely, collaborating with Visual team to ensure Inglenook's standards are achieved while highlighting Inglenook's heritage. Partner with Executive team in the establishment of new hospitality and marketing partnerships and brand extensions Coordination and hosting of site visits with clients. Partner with Tasting Room management to coordinate event support, including Wine Educators, space usage, and timely distribution of event work orders and related communications to relevant staff. 2. Department Management and Administration (30%) Provide monthly revenue reports and annual forecasts. Work with colleagues to negotiate contracts, develop new and maintain existing relationships with vendors that provide Inglenook with quality services and products Create and maintain department annual budget with Estate President. Review and analyze event costs and pricing quarterly to ensure optimal profit margins. Provide staff training, including food and beverage service to ensure all are up to Inglenook standards. Stay current with new trends in corporate and social events and where appropriate, incorporate into Inglenook events.

Job Requirements:

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Marketing, Hospitality, Event or Meeting Planning
  • or four years of experience in the luxury hospitality industry.
Two years of event management experience at a winery luxury property.
