The Sea Ranch Lodge:
The Sea Ranch Lodge, set in Sonoma County on 53 acres of dramatic Northern California coastline, built in 1968. One of the oldest buildings in The Sea Ranch, the North Building has been completely reimagined and as of July 1st, offers 17 intimate guest rooms for a quiet, coastal escape that inspires guests to respond to - and live in harmony with - the natural elements. Following the complete restoration and revitalization of the Lodge's public spaces in October 2021 and the debut of The Sea Ranch Living home rental program in 2022, the opening of The Sea Ranch Lodge guest rooms marked the final phase of its multi-million-dollar reimagination. The Sea Ranch Lodge's South Building boasts a Dining Room, Solarium, Bar + Lounge, Café, and General Store all available for Sea Ranch guests and residents to enjoy. Travelers can explore the beauty of The Sea Ranch through a variety of leisure activities. To support the Director of Events in the planning and detailing of all contracted social and corporate groups at The Lodge. This position will start as part time, but has the potential for full time. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Duties Create initial financial snapshot based on the signed contract and cost estimate Create initial planning notes document based on the contract and cost estimate Update Event Temple menus as requested by the Director of Events Catalog and organize event reference photos Create diagrams in Prism as requested by the Director of Events Follow up on client emails as requested by the Director of Events Update existing Event Orders as requested by the Director of Events Print BEO packets and Group Resumes as requested. Develop resumes and BEO's for all programming activities & events. Attend weekly BEO meetings virtually or in person Assist with management of packages shipped to the Lodge for events; notifying clients of their arrival and where they will be stored pending their arrival Pull reports from Event Temple as requested by the Director of Events Create a Daily Event Sheet and distribute to Operations Send Post Event Surveys to planners, group contacts and clients. Post Revenue and Expenses for each event-to-event analysis Spreadsheet Update Preferred Vendor List annually "Planning Walkthrough" and "Day of Event" onsite support to the Director of Events when requested. To perform other tasks, including cross-training, as directed. Have a working knowledge of Google Docs, Google Shared Drives, and Gmail. To promote and comply with all policies and procedures of The Sea Ranch Lodge. To immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions. To represent and market The Sea Ranch Lodge in a positive and professional manner as requested and continually promote TSRL internally and externally by attending special events when requested and building relationships both on and off property. Requirements Proven experience in the food service industry, preferably in catering or restaurant management. Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Familiarity with inventory control processes and budgeting within a hospitality context. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction. Previous supervisory or management experience is preferred, demonstrating effective team management abilities. Knowledge of quick service & fast food restaurant operations is a plus. Experience with training & development of staff members in a culinary setting. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively.
