Job Description

: The Community Foundation of South Lake County is a public nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life within the South Lake County region by connecting charitable individuals, families, and businesses with meaningful opportunities to give back. Through strategic grantmaking, scholarship programs, donor-advised funds, and community partnerships, the foundation addresses critical local needs while fostering long-term philanthropic impact. Community foundations serve as trusted leaders and conveners, bringing together donors, nonprofits, civic leaders, and residents to strengthen the community and create lasting positive change. With a commitment to stewardship, transparency, and collaboration, the foundation works to inspire generosity and build a stronger future for all. : This Executive Support Specialist position provides administrative and operational support to the executive leadership team and serves as a key liaison between staff, board members, donors, community partners, and stakeholders. This position is responsible for managing calendars, coordinating meetings and events, preparing correspondence and reports, maintaining confidential information, and ensuring the efficient day-to-day operations of the organization. The ideal candidate is highly organized, professional, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a mission-driven environment while demonstrating exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. :
  • Assist with content development for marketing & communications
  • Develop marketing materials, as directed, for events, social media and print
  • Review and summarize Google and social media analytics
  • Periodically review agency website for accuracy of content
  • Assist in inventorying and organizing collateral materials :
  • Assist with event planning tasks, vendor coordination and scheduling
  • Assist with designated event setup and breakdown of event
  • Prepare event materials (e.g. signage, name tags, agendas, promotional materials, etc.)
  • Track RSVPs, manage guest lists and provide support for onsite registration (if applicable)
  • Assist with researching event vendors and coordination of vendors :
  • Assist in developing protocols to ensure consistent documentation
  • Complete data entry in Foundant and Constant Contact software
  • Assist with scanning required documents and uploading as designated
  • Update constituent profiles in Foundant & Constant Contact
  • Communicate with vendors
  • Assist with donor and board requests
  • Assist with research as needed
  • Answer phones and check mail
  • Additional duties as assigned :
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be creative-minded, self-starter who can multitask
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Canva, Constant Contact and social media management experience required, with content management experience
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, Canva, PowerPoint, Constant Contact and Outlook
  • Must be professional, hard-working and have excellent time management skills
  • Must be eligible to work in the
United States :
  • This position is an onsite position that would require occasional commute to offsite locations to support events.
  • Normal work hours are between Monday - Friday; 9 am - 5 pm, but not to exceed 20 hours a week.
  • Some evenings and weekends may be required. :
  • This is a part-time, hourly, nonexempt position (weekly hours not to exceed 20 hours)
  • Pay range: $16- $21 per hour, dependent on experience and skill set
