The Events Coordinator position is intended for a creative, organized professional. The role is best suited for a dynamic and driven professional with experience in large scale events for a non-profit agency. This creative professional will be organized, an excellent project manager, and is someone who is able to maintain the ability to coordinate and deliver verbal and written communications with ease under deadline pressure. This role works directly with consultants, and the development team, who all support the event and marketing work of the agency. The reporting relationship may be to the CEO or Director of Development.Event Responsibilities:
This role will work with consultants to carry out the full scale event responsibilities as noted within this description. Event Creation, Planning & Execution Project manager who embraces the role with vigor understanding the crucial details for a successful event. Plans and executes BBBS Broward's signature fundraising events throughout the year. [Shared and discussed at the time of interview will be the current list - also we encourage visitors to the BBBS website. Creation of new events also occurs routinely, and the position is responsible for working on a few staff-centric events as well as match program events.] Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost efficiency while maximizing fundraising potential. Works with the Finance Department routinely on matters relating to events. Is accustomed to a non-profit budget and seeks to save money at every turn and manage inventory with a budget in mind. Maintain the master event list for the agency. Work with vendors, venues, and contractors to coordinate logistics, including catering, AV, décor, and production. Lead event committees and collaborate with consultants, volunteers, board members, and staff to enhance event success. Secure timely orders and plan for all event materials while balancing the marketing needs to secure other materials for events. Ensure all events align with the BBBS Broward brand and mission, delivering high-quality experiences for attendees. Act as the communication lead for all events to Internal staff and leadership. Present planning at pre-event meetings and conduct timely post-event feedback meetings. Available to attend events and work outside of traditional business hours including evenings and weekends to fully execute career position. Supervise staff and volunteers. Other duties as needed. Donor & Community Engagement Engage board members, corporate partners, and community leaders in fundraising and event participation. Develop creative event programming and experiences that inspire donor giving and long-term engagement. Analyze event performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement. Solicit auction items for events. Seek opportunities to build relationships with businesses to bring gifting for events forward.Education Level:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field; Equivalency reviewed.Work Experience:
• Two to five years of success demonstrated in managing non-profit events as outlined in the job description. Equivalency reviewed. Knowledge and experience with non-profit children services programs a plus. Personal or professional experience with non-profit organizations as an employee, volunteer or consultant. Worked with consultants (development, marketing and events) on projects as needed. Teamed with development and events staff members to execute events and the strategic plan. Supervised staff and volunteers.Skill Requirements:
Proven success in managing the events functions from beginning to end expecting change and adapting to current directives.Strategic Thinker:

Presentation skills to effectively promote the agency mission and vision, both internally and externally. Ability to interpret data, analyze trends, and share information about marketing campaigns. Ability to budget and report on financials relating to marketing. Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and effectively manage workflow to meet deadlines. Self-starter demonstrating the ability to use time effectively, work independently, focus on deliverables and priorities. Ability to utilize relevant programs to include Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and other design software. Proficiency in technical areas such asMicrosoft Office:
Sharepoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and Excel. Also proficient with databases (Matchforce/Salesforce), etc. Use of all modern technology to assist in placing information in order. Discretion to handle confidential information. Ability to travel routinely for position.Physical Requirements :
Walking, standing, occasional lifting of 25 pounds, sitting at workstation and supporting community activities and events.Trave l:
