Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role supporting students with exceptional needs at a welcoming small charter school near Fort Lauderdale, FL. This rewarding contract position is ideal for a Special Education Teacher eager to make a difference as an ESE Facilitator. Enjoy the satisfaction of guiding compliance and helping ensure every student's plan is expertly managed, all within a flexible, part-time schedule of 15-20 hours per week. In this position, you'll focus solely on facilitation—there is no classroom teaching required. Manage a small caseload (fewer than six students) and be the vital link in preparing, maintaining, and auditing IEPs, ensuring that all documentation meets state and federal standards. Your attention to detail and understanding of educational requirements will help maintain the highest level of compliance and quality for the school's exceptional student education program.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current Special Education Teacher certification required Experience working in schools as a Special Education teacher or ESE facilitator Solid understanding of IEP development, documentation, and compliance procedures Strong organizational and auditing skills Excellent communication abilities with staff, students, and families
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the full life-cycle of IEPs for a small caseload Ensure timely and accurate completion of all compliance documentation Conduct audits to maintain records in accordance with regulatory standards Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success Serve as a knowledgeable resource on exceptional student education requirements This unique position allows you to make a positive difference while enjoying a manageable, flexible work schedule.
