This position helps coordinates the operations and financial activities associated with the College of Business, Department of Marketing & Logistics, Global Sales Center (GSC) Areas include weekly student activity programming, organizing sales competitions hosted by FIU, management of the Global Sales Lab, vendor communication, and communications with organizations and individuals affiliated with the Global Sales Center Suggests changes and improvements to GSC workflows and procedures and works to administer and implement concepts as necessary. Serves as a liaison between Sales Society e-board and the Global Sales Center with respect to supplies inventory, event logistics, and other administrative support Assist manager with the managing of scholarship and award distribution in accordance with FIU policies and procedures Assists in the creation and development of communication materials, including mass emails and invitations Coordinates with other units with respect to communication campaigns and sales events and ensures deliverables are met Assists departmental leadership with the coordination and scheduling of sales meetings in conjunction with the Sales Society student organization and sales classes, when corporate sponsors are involved Attends and coordinates activities associated with Global Sales Center advisory/council board meetings Collects materials during events and summarizes activities for content creation of the semesterly ExSelling newsletter Maintains schedules, equipment and promotional materials for the Global Sales Lab (GSL) Training Rooms and provides support to students and professors Assist manager in training and assist with supervising, volunteer workers during major GSC events This may include updating training materials and implementing changes as necessary as directed by supervisor Federal Work Study Ability to work flexible hours as needed Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends and at locations outside of the University Students enrolled at FIU, who have been awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) as part of their Financial Aid Award package. Student must be enrolled with a minimum of six (6) credit hours in a course of study leading to a degree or a Financial Aid eligible certificate, during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. Upon credits decreasing, award being canceled, or graduating, FWS employment must end.
