Regional Philanthropy Associate 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars 4075 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, FL 33952 $45,760 a year - Full-time The Loveland Center Inc 25 reviews $45,760 a year - Full-time The Regional Philanthropy Associate plays a critical role in advancing Loveland Center's mission by increasing visibility, stewarding relationships, and producing impactful fundraising and outreach events. This position combines donor relations, community outreach, event planning, and marketing into one dynamic role, helping build an inclusive and connected community for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). The Regional Philanthropy Associate is also responsible for the stewardship and cultivation of a portfolio of 100+ donors and volunteers stewarding individuals that donate up to $5,000 annually, ensuring consistent engagement and movement along the donor pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
Community Engagement & Advocacy:
Act as an ambassador for Loveland Center by attending civic, chamber, nonprofit, and social events to build awareness and relationships. Schedule and deliver presentations to schools, civic groups, faith communities, and local organizations to promote Loveland's mission. Cultivate and steward community stakeholders, sponsors, and donors through regular touchpoints, meetings, and updates. Research and build strategic alliances and partnerships to amplify Loveland's reach and impact. Serve as the community liaison for all third-party events. Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate the needs of the job that might include night, weekends and/or holidays.
Event Planning & Execution:
Plan, organize, and execute 1-2 major events (ex. Golf Tournament, BBQ, 5K) and additional minor events (donor/volunteer appreciation, open houses, program parties, third party events). Oversee event logistics including budget tracking, contracts, sponsorships, in-kind donations, registration, auction items, vendors, and volunteers. Lead on-site event management, including setup, coordination, volunteer oversight, and troubleshooting. Conduct post-event evaluations and prepare event reports tracking sponsorships, attendance, revenue, expenses, and feedback. Manage volunteer recruitment and communications for events and outreach efforts.
Marketing & Communications:
Collaborate with the Philanthropy Team to create engaging marketing collateral for events, donor campaigns, and outreach (flyers, newsletters, press releases). Curate participant stories, event photos, and program highlights for newsletters, social media, blogs, and donor impact reports. Maintain a social media content calendar in coordination with agency-wide branding efforts. Ensure consistency of messaging in all marketing and outreach efforts. Bachelor's Degree preferred, ideally in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in nonprofit events, community engagement, development, or a related area. Excellent public speaking, writing, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills. Experience with DonorPerfect, Canva, Constant Contact, and social media platforms preferred. Able to work independently and with a team. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and stand for extended periods during events. Continued employment witl Loveland Center, Inc. is on an at-will basis.
