Job Description

Position Overview The A/V Director at Phase Events plays a critical leadership role in delivering exceptional event experiences through high-quality audiovisual production and outstanding client service. This position works closely with the Event Director to ensure seamless planning, execution, and follow-through for every client engagement. Key Responsibilities Client Experience & Service Deliver an exceptional, top-tier customer experience for all clients Provide timely and accurate quotes within 24 hours of client meetings Maintain clear, professional, and proactive communication throughout the event lifecycle Present at all tours and walkthroughs On Call 24/6 Event Operations Oversee all A/V production elements for events from planning through execution Be on-call for all events to ensure quality control and problem resolution Build and train a reliable team capable of executing events independently when your off Ensure all events meet Phase Events' standards of excellence Team Leadership & Management Recruit, train, schedule, and manage A/V staff Foster a collaborative, accountable, and positive team environment Provide direct feedback and handle team conflicts professionally and constructively Work in close partnership with the Events Team to align operations and strategy Attend community events with Event Director Inventory & Equipment Management Organize, maintain, and track all A/V inventory Conduct regular audits and report any damages, shortages, or issues Ensure all equipment is event-ready and properly maintained Administrative & Organizational Duties Manage staff scheduling and internal reporting (you will have a pool of part time A/V Techs on your team). Support social media efforts and community engagement initiatives Contribute to building and maintaining strong local relationships and brand presence Qualifications & Expectations Strong leadership and team management skills Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing event conditions Comfortable with confrontation, accountability, and giving/receiving feedback Highly organized with strong attention to detail Willingness to work early mornings, late nights, and be on-call Commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and high performance Culture & Values At Phase Events, we prioritize a positive, respectful, and driven work environment. Pay:
$30.99 - $37.32 per hour
