Job Description

Overview of Position This position is to design specific events for client proposals and create event concepts to be used in the sales process. The Event Designer is responsible for providing outstanding customer service by creating and organizing memorable events that meet quality expectations. This position is eligible to participate in a performance-based commission program, providing the opportunity to earn additional compensation based on the profitability of the events they design and manage.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate creative ideas, themes and events for the Sales and Program Development Teams. ( 20% ) Liaise with clients to identify their needs and to ensure customer satisfaction. ( 20% ) Work closely with Events team in utilizing our existing warehouse products and supplier partner products to create new events. ( 20% ) Produce professional creative event design, including stage design, graphic design and decorative items to create the event atmosphere. ( 40% )
Other Duties:
Assist in the preparation of proposals, presentations etc. Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health and safety obligations. Coordinate with Sales, Program Development and Events teams in the execution of the project and/or assignment. Conduct site visits and event production as needed. Support Assistant Director or Director of Program Development as needed. Must be able to maintain open and timely communication with clients, vendors, and teammates at all times. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an events planner or organizer Impressive portfolio of previously managed events (weddings, meetings, parties, corporate events) Ability to manage multiple projects independently. MS Office proficiency Excellent 3D designer who can conceptualize ideas and bring to realization and able to design in different software environments. Strong art sense, excellent creative conceptualization Outgoing, friendly, sense of team spirit, confident and dedicated. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent oral and written skills Detail oriented with particular emphasis on accuracy and the ability to process work quickly.
Multi-tasking:
Able to work on various projects within the same timeframe and therefore able to set priorities. Process all associated accounting related functions to include receivables and payables.
Computer skills:
word processing & spreadsheet applications is a must. Must be able to work independently yet be a team player. Prior travel experience and knowledge of Hawaiian Islands preferred.
Working Conditions:
Air-conditioned office setting 80% of the time with moderate noise level. Some inter-island travel may be required. Off-site office meetings, team buildings, event execution and sites may be required.
Working Hours:
Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Some nights and weekends may be required. Must be able to work overtime as may be required.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
