This role works with event coordinators and catering staff to help ensure events are organized, well-prepared, and delivered with professional service. Responsibilities Assist with preparing event venues, dining areas, catering stations, and service spaces. Set up tables, chairs, linens, food displays, serving stations, signage, and event equipment. Organize food, beverages, catering supplies, utensils, serving materials, and event equipment. Assist with loading, unloading, transporting, and organizing event supplies and equipment. Support event coordinators, catering staff, servers, and other team members with event preparation. Help prepare buffet stations, food displays, beverage areas, and guest service stations. Assist with food and beverage service according to event requirements and established procedures. Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional assistance throughout events. Assist guests with seating, directions, menu questions, and general event needs. Ensure food and beverage service areas remain clean, organized, and properly stocked. Restock food, beverages, utensils, napkins, containers, and other service supplies as needed. Communicate guest requests, catering needs, supply shortages, and service concerns to supervisors. Assist with coordinating vendors, venue personnel, caterers, and other event staff as directed. Follow food handling, sanitation, cleanliness, event procedures, and workplace safety guidelines. Handle food, catering equipment, event materials, and customer property carefully and responsibly. Assist with clearing tables, event cleanup, breakdown, packing, and removal of catering equipment. Organize and return supplies, equipment, and materials to designated storage areas. Support coworkers during busy event periods and help maintain efficient event operations. Maintain a professional, positive, and courteous attitude with guests, clients, and team members. Perform other event management, catering, and service support duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience in event management, catering, food service, hospitality, banquet service, or customer service is preferred but not required. Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Good organizational and time-management skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow event schedules and instructions. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Comfortable working in busy, fast-paced, and changing event environments. Willingness to learn event management and catering service procedures. Ability to follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety practices. Reliable, punctual, and responsible work habits. Comfortable standing, walking, lifting, and moving event or catering materials. Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.
