Job Description

Greater Ottumwa Partners in Progress is looking for a motivated, community-minded individual to join our team as our Investor and Events Coordinator! The Investor and Events Coordinator will implement, coordinate and manage cost-effective fundraising activities to assist Greater Ottumwa Partners in Progress ("GOPIP") in attaining its financial goals. This position acts as a liaison between GOPIP, its investors, and the local community and is a position based on achieving aggressive annual revenue goals. The Investor and Events Coordinator is responsible for the planning, organizing, and directing programs and events of GOPIP. This includes the management of existing, and the development of new programs and events that align with the mission of GOPIP. The Investor and Events Coordinator reports to the Executive Director and works closely with the Digital Media Specialist and Executive Director to identify and drive new partnership investment opportunities (member investment, sponsorship, strategic partnership) across the organization's programs and all Signature Events. The position also works with leadership committees, GOPIP staff, Strategic Partners, volunteers and community leaders to assist in meeting the financial goals.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in business related field preferred 2 years of experience required A successful track record of accomplishment This job will require periodically working in outdoor environments, including heat and cold. Ability to lift, bend over, stand for long periods, and extensive walking will be necessary. Satisfactory results on background checks pertaining to criminal registries. Must have a valid driver's license and personal auto insurance as required by the State of Iowa and be insurable under the company's insurance. Salary is commensurate with experience.
