Exempt Job Purpose The Hunger Fight Manager plays a key role in delivering an outstanding experience for volunteers at both on-site and mobile meal packaging events across Iowa and the Midwest. This position helps advance our mission by ensuring events run smoothly, meals are packed safely, and volunteers feel engaged and valued. Primary Responsibilities Lead and manage meal packaging events, clearly communicating plans of action while overseeing processes, volunteers, and materials to meet production goals. Pull and prepare necessary supplies for mobile hunger fights and return all items to their designated places in the warehouse. After event hand-off from the Sales Team (3-5 weeks before each event), connect with event leads to resolve logistics, discrepancies, or outstanding needs. Document details in the Operations Calendar and communicate updates to the Sales Team. Adapt quickly and make timely, effective decisions during events. Perform warehouse duties including forklift and electric pallet jack operation. Meet the physical demands of walking, standing, pushing, pulling, and lifting 30-50 lbs daily. Train and educate volunteers on safe food handling protocols. Foster collaboration and positive communication with MFTH staff, board members, volunteers, and donors. Stay current on best practices in meal production, volunteer management, and event operations. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Skills and Qualifications Associate degree preferred; high school diploma or G.E.D. required. 2-5 years of guest service, fulfillment, or warehouse experience. Comfortable working with volunteers of diverse skills and abilities. Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, and database software. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Clean driving record and ability (or willingness to learn) to drive a 26' box truck. Forklift and electric pallet jack certification preferred, or willingness to be trained.

Hours:
40 hours per week, with additional hours required during seasonal or peak periods. Frequent evening, overnight, and weekend work is expected due to mobile hunger fight events.
