The position is variable. Please see below for a full job description. Job Summary Come be a part of a couple's most memorable day! The Wedding Coordinator serves on Resurrection's Wedding Ministry Team and plays a key role in creating meaningful, memorable wedding experiences for couples and their families. Under the direction of the Wedding Program Director, the Wedding Coordinator partners with pastors, musicians, technical staff, facilities teams, and vendors to ensure all aspects of wedding rehearsals and ceremonies are carried out with excellence, hospitality, and attention to detail. This position provides logistical leadership, coordinates event execution, and helps ensure each couple experiences the care, professionalism, and Christian hospitality that are central to Resurrection's ministry Essential Responsibilities and Expectations Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Position-Specific
  • Coordinate assigned wedding rehearsals and wedding ceremonies at one of the 9 Resurrection locations in accordance with Resurrection's standards, policies, and procedures.
Weddings are available for both members and non-members of the congregation. Resurrection welcomes couples from all backgrounds and experiences who desire to enter into Christian marriage. All wedding requests are subject to pastoral approval and church wedding policies.
  • Serve as the primary logistical contact for assigned couples throughout the wedding planning process.
  • Commit to assigned weddings from the time of assignment through event completion, maintaining communication with the couple and church staff throughout the planning process.
Wedding assignments are typically made six or more months in advance and require availability and flexibility for scheduled rehearsals and wedding ceremonies, including evenings and weekends. Other preplanning details can be handled off-site.
  • Meet with couples to review ceremony details, timelines, and wedding-day expectations.
  • Partner with pastors, musicians, technical staff, facilities teams, and vendors to ensure all wedding details are communicated and executed effectively.
  • Lead and facilitate wedding rehearsals, ensuring participants understand the ceremony flow, timing, and responsibilities.
  • Oversee all logistical aspects of the wedding day, including event timelines, facility readiness, vendor coordination, guest hospitality, and ceremony execution.
  • Ensure wedding spaces, dressing rooms, and ceremony areas are properly prepared before events and restored following services.
  • Manage marriage license procedures and ensure all required documentation is completed accurately.
  • Maintain Resurrection's standards of hospitality, creating a welcoming and positive experience for couples, families, guests, and vendors.
  • Communicate facility, safety, and event expectations to wedding participants and vendors as needed.
  • Identify and resolve event-related challenges while maintaining a calm, professional, and service-oriented presence.
  • Provide post-event communication and reporting to the Wedding Program Director regarding event outcomes, facility concerns, or follow-up needs.

  • Proven experience in event coordination, hospitality, weddings, ministry operations, or related customer-service environments.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and varying expectations.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and email communication with the ability to utilize church software, email, and online systems with access to a personal computer and reliable internet service.
  • Ability to travel between Resurrection locations and event sites as needed to support assigned weddings and related ministry responsibilities.
  • Ability to lift objects up to 20 pounds, chairs and small table set up occasionally needed, and the ability to remain standing for extended periods of time.
  • Flexibility in schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Commitment to supporting Resurrection's mission, values, and ministry standards. Estimated Workload Wedding Coordinators are contracted on an as-needed basis and are assigned weddings throughout the year based on availability and ministry needs.
  • Pre-wedding planning and communication: approximately 2-4 hours per wedding
  • Rehearsal coordination: approximately 2-3 hours per wedding
  • Wedding day coordination and facility management: approximately 6-8 hours per wedding weekend
  • Post-event administration and reporting: approximately 30 minutes per wedding Total estimated commitment: 10-15 hours per wedding assignment.
