The Community Center Event Staff supports the Community Center Coordinator in the planning, preparation, and execution on public events. Responsibilities include assisting with setup and breakdown of event spaces, performing general custodian and maintenance tasks, and ensuring the facility remains safe, clean, and well-functioning before, during, and after events. This position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and weekdays as scheduled, and is performed with minimal supervision.

Ø Community Center Event Staff serves as an assistant to the Community Center Coordinator and is responsible for the following:
- Assist the Community Center Coordinator with event setup, including arranging chairs, tables, and staging equipment
- Perform custodial tasks before, during, and after events to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Provide assistance and support to guests during facility rentals and events
- Ensure all entry and exit points are clear and accessible
- Routinely inspect restrooms and other public areas for cleanliness, proper function, and adequate supplies
- Address hazards immediately, including spills or malfunctioning equipment, to maintain safety standards
- Operate cleaning equipment, including larger mops as needed, to maintain facility hygiene
- Move and arrange furniture and equipment as necessary to support event setup and breakdown

o Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supervisors and the public o Physical stamina to lift heavy objects, stand, bend, and perform repetitive cleaning and setup tasks over extended periods o Attention to detail, particularly in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and organization of event spaces o Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under minimal supervision while managing multiple tasks
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Performs assigned duties under the general direction of the Community Center Coordinator, exercising initiative and independent judgment within established organizational policies and procedures.
