Dignity Memorial Position Summary:

The Celebration of Life Event Manager is responsible for creating meaningful and personalized "Life Story" experiences that honor and celebrate the lives of loved ones. This role oversees the planning, coordination, transportation, setup, and presentation of memorial displays and tribute elements that reflect each individual's unique life, passions, accomplishments, and legacy. The Event Manager leads a team responsible for handling display materials, memorabilia, photos, themed setups, and presentation logistics while coordinating closely with Funeral Directors, Family Service teams, and location leadership to ensure every service is executed with excellence, compassion, and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities Manage and lead a team responsible for Life Story setup, transportation, display coordination, and breakdown for services and memorial events Design and coordinate personalized memorial displays using photos, memorabilia, hobbies, awards, uniforms, keepsakes, themed décor, and meaningful personal items provided by families Ensure all Life Story presentations are thoughtfully arranged and professionally displayed to create a warm and memorable experience for families and guests Coordinate with Funeral Directors, General Managers, Family Service teams, and other leadership to execute seamless service setups across multiple locations Transport display materials, easels, photo boards, memorabilia, audiovisual items, and event equipment safely and professionally between locations. Qualifications Creative and artistic mindset with the ability to design meaningful, visually appealing, and personalized "Life Story" displays that celebrate and honor each individual's unique life and legacy Strong organizational and time management skills Creative mindset with an eye for presentation, detail, and visual storytelling Excellent communication and leadership abilities Ability to manage multiple events, priorities, and timelines simultaneously Professional demeanor with strong customer service and interpersonal skills Dependable, punctual, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment Ability to lift, transport, and arrange display items and event materials Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred Preferred Skills & Experience Experience in event coordination, hospitality, visual merchandising, or funeral service preferred Experience leading teams or coordinating logistics across multiple locations Ability to create personalized and meaningful presentation experiences Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt quickly under pressure Familiarity with audiovisual equipment, display setup, and event presentation standards preferred Why Join Dignity Memorial At Dignity Memorial, we believe every life deserves to be remembered in a meaningful and personal way.
