The Ice Cream Factory is home to both our retail scoop shop and our events program

We're looking for a Retail & Events Manager to run the shop while we are open (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and lead the charge on event execution all week long: on-premise and off-premise, year-round.

Our event mix shifts seasonally:

more off-premise bookings in warmer months, more on-premise events at the Factory itself (private parties, movie nights, corporate bookings) in the winter

• so this role stays busy no matter the season. What This Role Is (and Isn't) This is a hands-on leadership role split between two things: Retail Leadership
• Running the Ice Cream Factory shop floor on our open days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), leading the team, and delivering the Charmery experience to every customer who walks in. Event Execution
• Serving as the on-site lead for every catering and events booking, both on-premise (at the Factory) and off-premise (weddings, corporate events, private parties, and our full sensory movie experiences). This role does not handle event sales, client outreach, or booking
• that's owned by our Catering Sales Manager.

Once an event is booked and planned, you take it from there: packing and prepping beforehand, and leading the show on the day. ResponsibilitiesRetail (Fri/Sat/Sun) Lead the team on the floor during shop hours, coaching scoopers to be enthusiastic, hustling, happy, and friendly Ensure smooth day-to-day operations and uphold brand service standards Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards Maintain shop inventory for a healthy Cost of Goods Sold Build and manage the weekly schedule for Factory retail front of house staff Coach, guide, and support the retail team to deliver an exceptional customer experience Events (all week, mix varies by season) Serve as the on-site lead for all on-premise and off-premise events

• catering, private parties, corporate events, and full sensory movie experiences In warmer months, this skews toward off-premise bookings; in winter, it shifts toward on-premise events hosted right at the Factory Pack and prep all event materials, ingredients, and equipment ahead of each booking Execute the event plan on-site: setup, service, and breakdown Build and manage the schedule for the event team (event-day staffing) Travel to off-premise event locations as needed Coordinate with the Catering Sales Manager to receive event details, timelines, and client expectations Troubleshoot on the fly to keep every event running smoothly General Work with other Charmery leaders•Founders, Production Manager, Catering Sales Manager, and fellow Shop Managers•on a regular basis to meet goals and discuss store and event needs Lead training across retail and event-support positions Qualifications 1 to 3 years of experience in a hospitality or events leadership position Comfortable managing both a retail team and live event execution Great communication skills and a professionally friendly attitude Retail, catering, or client/customer service experience preferred Able to work 5 days a week: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (retail hours) plus shop organization and event bookings as scheduled Willingness to travel to off-premise event locations Valid driver's license and insurance required; own reliable vehicle Ability to lift 30 lbs on a regular basis Benefits Competitive base wage plus tips/service fees Paid Time Off Matched 401(k) Retirement Benefits Life stipend Take-home ice cream every shift Two "Free Cone" Card Coupons bi-weekly This position handles several common food allergens including peanuts, nuts, and milk.
