UM Athletics invites applications for two (2) Sports Events Managers to coordinate events, including athletic events, concerts, flat shows, rental events, etc., as part of the Internal Operations Team. Athletic Department employees and those University employees outside the Athletic Department with NCAA rules compliance responsibilities are subject at all times to NCAA Bylaws 10.1 and 11.1 regarding ethical conduct and the responsibility to positively contribute to a campus culture of NCAA rules compliance. Failure to conduct oneself as such will result in disciplinary or corrective action up to and including immediate discharge. Collaborate with the Internal Operations team Frequently work nights and weekends for events Help supervise part-time event staff for all Adams Center, Grizzly Athletics and rental events Assist with recruitment and the overall hiring process Knowledge and skill equivalent to a high school education Possess a current driver's license Basic accounting and money-handling skills Knowledge of basic supervisory practices Excellent organizational skills Excellent customer service skills Ability to multitask and coordinate multiple events at the same time Ability to work as a team and communicate effectively Ability to work with a wide variety of individuals Preferred Qualifications Experience coordinating and/or working during events of any kind, particularly athletic events and/or concerts
