The Pirate Club ( ECU Educational Foundation) serves as the official fundraising organization for East Carolina University Athletics. The Pirate Club supports student-athlete scholarships, facility enhancements, and programmatic needs while fostering strong relationships with alumni, donors, and fans.
Job Duties:
Development & Donor Relations Assist in executing annual fund strategies to grow membership and philanthropic support. Support donor cultivation, engagement, and relationship management. Maintain an assigned donor portfolio and assist with outreach efforts. Support membership programs and donor engagement initiatives. Events & Experience Assist in planning and executing Pirate Club events and gameday experiences. Coordinate logistics with vendors, staff, and volunteers. Support revenue opportunities tied to events and experiences. Assist with post-event reporting and evaluation. Communication & Digital Engagement Support communication strategies across email, website, and social media. Assist in creating content for fundraising and engagement initiatives. Support email campaigns, segmentation, and reporting. Data & Analytics Utilize systems such as Paciolan and CRM tools to support reporting. Track KPIs related to membership, engagement, and revenue. Assist with dashboards and performance reporting. Operational Support Assist with day-to-day operations and member services. Support budgeting and financial tracking for events and programs. Collaborate across departments to support organizational goals.
Minimum Education/Experience:
Bachelors Degree Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to travel locally and regionally; evening and weekend work required on occasion. License or Certification Required by
Statute or Regulation:
None Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:
Masters degree in a related field. 1+ years of experience in college athletics, fundraising, donor engagement or related field. Familiarity with membership-based organizations, priority point systems, or ticketing environments. Experience with CRM systems, email marketing platforms, or digital communications tools. Experience supporting events, sponsorships, or revenue-generating initiatives. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Special Instructions to
