Job Description

Job Overview Cypress Glen Retirement Community, a Continuing Care/Life Plan Retirement Community located in Greenville, NC is currently seeking a Renovations Technician. Cypress Glen is home to approximately 400 seniors and employs approximately 250 staff members. The community culture is one of inclusion, warmth, and mutual respect for both residents and staff. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Renovator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry, and renovation, showcasing expertise in various trades. As a Renovator, you will be responsible for transforming spaces through craftsmanship and attention to detail, ensuring that all projects meet high standards of quality and safety.
Essential Duties:
Complete move- out checklists for vacated residences. Assess and report to the Renovations Supervisor all work required for refurbishment. Refurbish/ renovate residences and common areas. Perform carpentry work required for refurbishments. Perform painting required for refurbishments. Perform light plumbing and electrical work required for refurbishments. Maintain renovation tracking logs for all refurbishments. Attend in-service educationprograms on amonthly basis Maintain all work areas in a safe, clean and organized manner On call for emergencies. Request supplies as needed to maintain Inventory of necessary parts and tools Participate in Fire Drills and other Life Safety activities. Maintain required records and reports outlined in the Policies and Procedures of the Maintenance Department. Perform facility inspections to determine areas that require maintenance. When qualified make necessary repairs. Make recommendations to the Renovations Supervisor regarding work that should be contracted to an outside vendor. Snow removal EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Must be at least 18 years of age, due to exposure to chemicals and potentially hazardous equipment. One to three years of experience in construction, carpentry, mechanical or facility maintenance preferred. Must be able to follow oral and written 'instructions. Must have valid Drivers License.
