Wine & Design Wilmington is looking for a full-time Studio Manager to help lead our growing studio and create exceptional experiences for our guests. This is not your typical management position. We're looking for someone who can confidently lead a team, manage daily operations, provide outstanding customer service, and embrace the creative energy that makes Wine & Design special. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, creative, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. About the Role As Studio Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the studio, manage staff scheduling, coordinate events, assist with customer service, maintain inventory, and ensure every guest has an amazing experience. You'll work closely with artists, instructors, customers, and ownership to keep the studio running smoothly while helping grow the business. Responsibilities Manage daily studio operations Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise staff Ensure classes, workshops, camps, and private events run smoothly Deliver exceptional customer service in person, over the phone, and online Manage event bookings and customer inquiries Assist with event setup, breakdown, and studio organization Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed Support marketing initiatives, social media, and community outreach efforts Monitor studio cleanliness, organization, and presentation Handle challenges and problem-solve quickly during events Help drive revenue through outstanding guest experiences and team leadership Qualifications Previous management, hospitality, retail, event planning, or customer service experience preferred Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working evenings and weekends Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and assist with event setup and studio maintenance Creative Experience Required Wine & Design is a creative business, and creativity is a must for this role. While you do not need to be a professional artist, candidates should have experience with painting, crafting, DIY projects, design, or other creative pursuits. You should feel comfortable discussing projects with guests, helping customers select experiences, and contributing creative ideas to the studio. Wine & Beer Knowledge Preferred Our studio hosts a variety of paint-and-sip events, so knowledge of wine and beer is highly preferred. Experience working in restaurants, bars, breweries, wineries, tasting rooms, or other hospitality environments is a plus. Candidates should be comfortable discussing beverages with guests and ensuring a welcoming, responsible atmosphere.
