Riverfront Park & Italian Community Center Dates:
June 11•July 24, 2026
Compensation:
$16.00 per hour (New York State minimum wage)
Schedule:
Flexible daytime, evening, and weekend hours required. Staff will work event days throughout the duration of the activation. About the Event The Downtown Troy BID is hosting a large-scale public viewing experience for the 2026 World Cup, featuring daily match screenings, community programming, vendors, music, and activations at two locations in Downtown Troy. We are seeking dependable, energetic, and team-oriented temporary event staff to assist with the daily execution of the event. Responsibilities Assist with daily event setup and breakdown Operate and monitor A/V equipment and viewing screens Support vendors, activations, and general event operations Set up barricades, tables, tents, signage, and seating areas Ensure event spaces remain clean, organized, and guest-ready Troubleshoot basic operational issues during events Assist attendees and answer general questions Coordinate with Event Managers and BID staff throughout the day Help secure equipment and assist with end-of-night shutdown procedures Qualifications Ability to work outdoors for extended periods Must be able to lift and move equipment/materials Strong communication and teamwork skills Comfortable working nights and weekends Reliable transportation preferred Previous event or production experience is a plus, but not required Basic understanding of A/V equipment preferred To Apply Please email the Downtown Troy BID at info@troybid.
