Job Description

Job Summary The Events Directors job description includes but not limited to, overseeing the planning and execution of all banquet events in a hospitality setting, such as events the hotel is hosting or events that are being rented in our banquet spaces. As the Event Coordinator, you must have excellent organizational, and communication skills, as well as the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. You will manage a team of event staff, ensuring that they are meeting the highest standards for guest satisfaction. Duties Coordinate and support the Sales Director about bookings Organize, and execute banquet events Coordinate with clients and vendors to ensure successful events Supervise banquet staff and ensure proper training Set-up of each event including but not limited to; moving tables, stage setup, dance floor setup, AV setup, linens on tables and chairs, etc. Ensure proper setup of event spaces Monitor event timelines and troubleshoot issues as they arise Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction Adhere to safety and sanitation regulations Evaluate banquet success and recommend improvements for future events Qualifications Proven experience in event planning, management, or hospitality industries such as restaurants, hotels, or fundraising organizations. Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction. Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently across multiple projects. Familiarity with event management software and budgeting tools. Experience with banquet operations or catering services is highly desirable. Knowledge of contracts, venue logistics, and hospitality standards is essential. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients, vendors, and team members.
