Assistant Wedding Coordinator •2 years experience required• Savannah, GA Hybrid work $25 an hour - Part-time $25 an hour - Part-time We are a growing luxury wedding venue group in Savannah / Coastal Georgia area focused on creating elevated, seamless wedding experiences for our couples and guests. We are currently seeking a Part-Time Assistant Wedding Coordinator with opportunity for growth into a Lead Coordinator role as the company expands. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves weddings, enjoys working with people, and can remain calm and detail-oriented under pressure.
Please note:
this is not a traditional office position. Wedding days are long, physically demanding, and primarily weekend-based. Position Details Part-time Approximately 2-5 weddings per month Primarily weekends with occasional weekday responsibilities Long event days (typically 10-14 hours) No benefits or PTO currently offered Potential growth opportunities as the company expands
Compensation:
Assistant Coordinator $25/hour Wedding day on-site responsibilities only Lead Coordinator Growth Opportunity Selected team members may have the opportunity to train into a Lead Coordinator role.
Lead Coordinator pay:
$500 per wedding for first 3 weddings $650 per wedding after completion of training weddings Lead Coordinators also assist with client communication, timeline creation, vendor coordination, rehearsals, and wedding day management. Qualifications 2 years of experience in weddings, events, hospitality, or related industries preferred Planning experience is a plus, but not required Reliable transportation required Strong communication and organizational skills Detail-oriented and proactive Team player who can also work independently Comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules Able to stand and remain active for extended periods throughout event days Assistant Coordinator Responsibilities Direct vendor load-in, setup, and event flow Assist with décor setup and execution of design details Oversee ceremony setup, transitions, and cues Manage wedding party, family members, and key participants Support timeline execution throughout the event Serve as an on-site liaison between couples, vendors, and venue staff Assist guests and answer questions professionally Handle personal items, florals, and important event details Troubleshoot issues calmly and professionally in real time Assist with breakdown, packing, and end-of-night responsibilities Lead Coordinator Responsibilities Conduct planning meetings with clients Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and vendors Create and manage wedding timelines Confirm vendor logistics and event details Lead rehearsals and oversee wedding day execution Maintain event readiness and emergency kits Communicate post-event recaps with leadership If you genuinely love weddings, enjoy creating meaningful experiences, and are looking to grow within the wedding industry, we would love to hear from you.
