Fundraising Associate Oasis - A Haven for Women and Children - 3.4 Paterson, NJ Job Details Full-time Up to $55,000 a year 13 hours ago Benefits 403(b) matching Health insurance Paid time off Life insurance Qualifications Teamwork Administrative experience Bachelor's degree Organizational skills Time management Full Job Description Oasis - a Haven for Women and Children is a nonprofit 501 (C) (3) organization located in Paterson, New Jersey. We carry out educational and social services programs that help local women enter and succeed in the workforce and help children flourish academically. We also operate a soup kitchen and provide emergency food, clothing, and social support to city residents in need. The Fundraising Associate performs support duties for multiple Development Department members, most intensively for the Director of Development (communications tasks) and the Database and Events Manager (event-related tasks). Duties will include but are not limited to social media management, email content and design, special event support, and administrative duties as needed. This is an onsite position with no possibility of remote work.
JOB DUTIES
Own and execute Oasis social media across all channels, building brand and issue awareness and messaging five days a week. Create content, post regularly, drive engagement, and track results. Assist with and create fundraising emails and other fundraising communications, including invitations, acknowledgment letters, and appeal and event campaign emails. Create content, including text (narrative), video, graphics, and more for posters, brochures, slideshows, postcards, invitations, thank-you campaigns, films, and other communication forms to support fundraising team efforts. Answer info@ emails and respond to donor inquiries. Assist with event preparations under the supervision of the Events Manager. This includes gathering materials, supplies, and other items necessary for a successful event, preparing signage, and helping organize volunteers. Required attendance of special events in a supporting capacity. Assist with the organization's photography needs, ensuring daily events (programs, volunteer activities, donations) are photographed, and photos are organized properly. Manage the photo storage system. Design and produce branded flyers for internal and external communications for the organization. Assist with donor database tasks as required. Perform other related duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS A
bachelor's degree or equivalent. Strong computer skills, including thorough Word, Excel, and PowerPoint knowledge. Familiarity with a mass email system and online graphic system (eg: Canva) is preferred. Experience using various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Excellent writing skills and editing skills. Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and diplomacy skills Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately in verbal and/or written form with strong attention to detail. Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making. Demonstrated strong time-management, organization, and prioritization skills. Ability to be flexible to adjust to changing priorities and work environment. Ability to deal with various people and personalities and contribute to harmonious working relationships by dealing with conflicts constructively. Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to Oasis' mission.
Required of ALL employees:
Must be eligible to work legally in the United States. Fingerprinting required (Oasis will direct new hire to the proper agency for fingerprinting). Must have no record of child abuse/neglect. Must complete Child Abuse Record Information background check (Oasis will provide form and submit it to proper agency).
