USWE & Giant Loop Location:
Hybrid / Remote with required travel
On-site Requirement:

Position Type:
Full-Time About the Role USWE and Giant Loop are seeking a highly driven, organized, and brand-focused Events Manager to lead the development, execution, and performance of all event initiatives across both brands. This is a highly visible, hands-on role responsible for delivering world-class brand experiences, deepening consumer engagement, and strengthening our presence within the cycling, run, outdoor, and adventure motorcycling communities. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, brings a strategic mindset paired with operational excellence, and has authentic experience within bike and/or moto culture. Key Responsibilities Event Strategy & Planning Own and manage the annual events calendar across USWE and Giant Loop Identify, evaluate, and secure participation in key industry events, races, expos, and grassroots activations Develop event strategies, goals, KPIs, and budgets aligned with overall brand and sales objectives Build relationships with event organizers, partners, and industry stakeholders Ensure all events align with brand positioning and audience targeting Logistics & Operations Lead end-to-end event logistics including: Travel, lodging, transportation, and scheduling Booth design, setup, and teardown Product allocation and inventory management (including internal POs) Ensure all events meet internal standards and company event policies Maintain strong operational planning to support simultaneous multi-event execution Brand Activation & Consumer Experience Design and execute high-impact booth environments and brand activations Develop event-specific campaigns and engagement strategies Deliver exceptional, consistent brand representation across all touchpoints Drive on-site sales, lead generation, and customer engagement Capture and elevate authentic connections within cycling, run and ADV/moto communities Event Execution & On-Site Leadership Attend and actively manage a significant number of events annually Oversee full execution including setup, live operations, and teardown Serve as the primary brand representative on-site Troubleshoot issues in real time and ensure seamless experiences Staff & Ambassador Management Recruit, train, and manage event staff, contractors, and brand ambassadors Build and maintain a high-performing, reliable event team Create staffing plans and manage scheduling for all events Ensure all team members represent brand values professionally Owned Event Development (Giant Loop Ride Events) Plan and execute four annual Giant Loop Ride (GLR) events
Manage:
Ticketing and registration Vendor and sponsor partnerships OEM demo fleet coordination Event programming and logistics Ensure these events deliver a best-in-class ADV community experience Drive attendance, engagement, and revenue while meeting budget goals Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with marketing, sales, and product teams Align event execution with: Product launches Brand campaigns Sales initiatives Ensure all assets, messaging, and materials are event-ready Budget Management & Reporting Develop and manage annual and per-event budgets Track expenses, ROI, and event performance metrics Produce post-event recaps including: Sales data Consumer insights Photos and documentation Recommendations for optimization Continuously refine strategy based on performance insights Qualifications 5+ years of experience in event management, trade shows, or experiential marketing Strong knowledge of cycling, mountain biking, and/or motorcycle industries Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale events simultaneously Experience leading teams in fast-paced, on-site environments Strong budgeting, logistics, and operational planning skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Demonstrated ability to represent brands in consumer-facing settings Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and adaptability Requirements Willingness and ability to travel extensively (including weekends) Ability to lift and transport event equipment (up to ~50 lbs) Comfortable working long hours during events Availability to be on-site in Bend, OR at least one week per month, with a plan to relocate to Central Oregon within 90 days of start date.
