- Job Summary
- Oversees and coordinates event planning, implementation and execution for multiple types of events for Sanford Sports Complex.
Maintains the scheduling, budgeting, staffing and logistics for each event and works with vendors, agencies and support team on coordination and successful event setup. Coordinate detailed logistics with operational partners and vendors to ensure delivery of the elements required for a positive event experience. Along with the manager, facilitate appropriate negotiation, review and execution of vendor contracts. Responsible for internal and external pre-event marketing campaigns and post-event activities. Measure success of the event results to ensure ongoing improvement and maximize ROI. Responsible for coordinating details to ensure execution of innovative, impactful and memorable event experiences as defined by stakeholders. Work in concert with operational stakeholders, managers, vendors and members of the team to ensure seamless event planning and execution. Responsible for the execution of the end-to-end delivery of event logistics, including securing venues, audio/video, catering, event vendors, entertainment and guest speakers as needed with the allotted budget. Provide oversight of creation and delivery of collateral, training materials and premium items for the event as needed. Negotiate event sponsorships and contracts with third-party vendors. Collaborate with marketing staff to provide on-site support as needed. Manage all aspects of production, receipt and distribution of event deliverables. Demonstrates the ability to work cross-functionally with managers, executive leaders and support teams, and be a team-minded individual who can work independently and under the guidance of superiors. Regionally focused, but some travel may be required to manage large-scale events in various regions of the enterprise. One of the Sports Complex Lead Event Specialists may serve as the main point of contact with our ticket sales vendor and will be responsible for maintaining this vendor relationship. This one individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of ticket sales inclusive of operations on the ticketing platform. Responsibilities may also include loading events into the platform, management of ticket inventory, selling of tickets and final reconciliation of event tickets. Other duties as assigned.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or business required. Three to five years of experience required. Experience in events or project management preferred. Depending on location, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required. May be required to become certified in LifePak 250 as deemed by director.
