Job Description

Accepting applications through May 1 (or until filled), must be able to start in early June. About FMFF We are a nonprofit organization governed by a Board of Directors. We produce the Moab Folk Festival, Moab Free Concert Series, Moab Folk Camp, and education outreach activities during the school year for Grand County School District students. We currently have 2 full-time staff, and are looking to add a third role in a flexible part-time capacity. About the position Be a part of the hard working team that produces your favorite community events! Schedule expectations Part-time seasonal position, flexible hours working between 10 and 40+ hrs/week June 1 - November 10, 2026. Must be available to work in-person in Moab, UT. Must be available leading up to, during and after all events:
MFCS:
June 26, July 10, July 24, August 7, 2026
MFF:
Nov 6-8, 2026 Duties Moab Free Concert Series (June - August)
Operations:
Assist with event production for all four concerts. This includes shopping, packing, transporting, setting up and tearing down each event. Before and during shows, will assist with scheduling volunteers, event access, and beverage sales. Other duties as needed to provide organizational support. Moab Folk Festival (August - November)
Pre-Festival Preparations :
Act as main point of contact for ~35 vendors. Act as main point of contact for 160+ volunteers, manage schedules using VolunteerLocal platform.
During Festival Operations:
On-site vendor and volunteer coordinator. Off-site venue manager. Other duties as needed to provide organizational support. Required Skills Can lift up to 50 pounds Valid Driver's License Calm / Professional demeanor and able to work under pressure Leadership capabilities, self-motivated Ability to handle stress in a calm, collected way Ability to work independently and within a small team Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, detail-oriented Ability to make clear concise decisions, sometimes with limited information Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Skilled in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive) Proficient in operating and managing Apple products (iMac desktop, iPad, iPhone) Preferred Skills Able to drive a manual vehicle Proficient in backing a trailer Experience in event planning and production Physical Demands/Working Environment Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Mixture of indoor office setting and outdoor event environments Event days involve long days outside, with lots of standing, lifting, and walking. Salary Starting wage $20-$22/hr, commensurate with experience. Overtime pay available as earned.
