Job Description
A Retail Training Specialist is responsible for delivering training programs to field merchandisers to ensure consistent implementation of merchandising standards, product knowledge, and brand representation across designated territories. This role involves conducting hands-on training and providing ongoing support to enhance the performance and productivity of field managers. What's in it for you? Deliver comprehensive training programs and materials for field merchandisers, including manuals, presentations, and visual aids. Travel up to 75 miles within the assigned territory. Conduct on-site and virtual training sessions to educate field merchandisers on standards, product features, and promotional campaigns. Train field merchandisers on product placement, signage, and display techniques to maximize visual impact and sales. Provide hands-on coaching and feedback during store visits to reinforce training concepts and address performance gaps. Collaborate with field managers to identify training needs and prioritize skill development areas. Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through metrics, observations, and feedback. Update training materials based on product changes, guidelines, and industry trends. Support new product launches and store resets with timely training sessions and resources. Serve as a subject matter expert on merchandising best practices, trends, and competitor activities. Foster a positive learning environment and culture of continuous improvement among field merchandisers. Cover open territories executing client-specific work. How will you succeed? Demonstrate strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Be a self-starter, quick learner, detail-oriented, flexible, and agile in adapting to various tasks and situations. Able to effectively communicate with others. Experience and Qualifications High school diploma/GED required. Prior retail experience and/or retail training experience is preferred. Proficient in operating a smartphone and apps, sending/receiving emails, sending/receiving text messages, E-learning platforms. Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and be available for occasional weekend work. Work Environment and Physical Requirements Have good vision and the ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, and kneel. Be willing and able to work in cold environments conditions.
