Job Description

Location:
Clark County Fair, Ridgefield, WA Employment Type:
Full-time/Part-time, Temporary (Fair Duration) Compensation provided at the successful conclusion of the 10-day contract. We're looking for attentive and dependable Fair Operations Team Members to contribute to a safe and secure environment at the Clark County Fair. You'll be a vital part of our efforts to ensure a positive experience for all fairgoers and personnel. This role is ideal for individuals who are physically able to be on their feet for extended periods and can respond effectively to diverse scenarios.

Core Responsibilities:
Rounds and Surveillance:
Conduct regular patrols of assigned zones, including fixed entry points and mobile routes, to prevent issues and identify any potential safety concerns.
Controlled Access:
Verify credentials for staff and log visitors as necessary, ensuring only authorized individuals enter restricted areas.
Crisis Response:
Act swiftly and appropriately to emergencies and disturbances, upholding legal principles in the immediate protection of life and property.
Incident Documentation:
Observe and investigate unusual activity, meticulously noting peculiar occurrences and providing detailed reports of all suspicious events.
Asset Protection:
Safeguard fair property and staff by upholding a secure and safe atmosphere. Additional Contributions (including, but not limited to):
Entry Point Screening:
Perform thorough and polite gate and bag inspections at entrances, ensuring prohibited items do not enter the fairgrounds.
Qualifications:
Prior Experience:
At least one year of experience in a security-related capacity or customer service role.
Physical Fitness:
Must be capable of standing and walking for prolonged shifts (8-12 hours) and reacting quickly and efficiently to various situations.
Availability:
Must have open availability, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays, to align with fair operational hours.
Essential Skills:
Possess strong observational, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
Professional Conduct:
Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and discretion at all times, even under duress.
Collaboration:
Capable of working independently or seamlessly within a team.
Work Schedule:
Shifts typically span 8 to 12 hours. Day, evening, night, and overnight shifts are available. Weekend and holiday commitment is essential.
Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour Application Question(s): Do you have an active unarmed guard card? If so when does it expire? What is your guard card number? (If you dont have one it is okay) Do you have your own reliable transportation? (Public is not reliable) This is a straight weeks of work during the duration of the fair you must be available all days. (Days range from Aug 5th through August 22nd) We have Morning/Swing/Graves spots are limited please let us know which shift works best for you.
