Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Front of House Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth operation within our café or quick service fast food restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong cash handling skills, a knack for upselling, and a passion for food service. Duties Greet customers warmly and provide assistance in menu selection. Process customer orders accurately using the POS system. Handle cash transactions efficiently, ensuring accuracy in cash handling and math skills. Upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front of house area, including dining space and service counters. Assist with food preparation as needed to support kitchen staff during busy periods. Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring a positive dining experience. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service flow during peak hours. Requirements Previous experience in a quick service fast food restaurant or similar food service environment is preferred. Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail in processing transactions. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness. Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous but not required; training will be provided. A team player who is willing to help others and contribute to a positive work atmosphere. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
