Pay $16-$18/hr | Part-time | 2-3 shifts per month About Us Sourdough by Victoria is a local micro-bakery specializing in artisan sourdough bread and pastries. We sell at farmers markets throughout the Valley and are looking for a reliable, friendly, and outgoing Farmers Market Representative to join our team. Position Overview We're seeking a Farmers Market Representative to join our market team. This is a part-time role, ideal for someone who enjoys lively market environments, engaging with customers, and representing a local artisan food brand. You'll start by working alongside another team member with plenty of hands-on training. Once fully trained, you'll also be expected to independently run markets, including transporting products and equipment, setup, sales, and breakdown. Responsibilities Set up and take down tents, tables, and displays Run the Square POS system and handle customer transactions Use a personal smartphone to operate Square POS during the shift Provide excellent customer service and answer product questions Maintain a clean and organized booth Transport market equipment and products once fully trained Independently operate assigned markets once fully trained Requirements Outgoing, customer-service-oriented personality Must be reliable and punctual Saturday and Sunday availability Ability to stand for 5-6+ hours and lift up to 50 lbs Must be comfortable using a smartphone to run Square POS (training provided) Must be able to obtain a food handler's certificate (training and time covered by us) Reliable vehicle with adequate space to transport market equipment and products required Bonus points if you're local and would like to consistently work the same markets Compensation & Schedule $16/hr when working alongside another team member $18/hr when independently running a market 2-3 shifts per month, with opportunities for additional shifts All shifts are on Saturdays or Sundays Sample shift: 8 AM-3 PM, with some Saturday shifts beginning as early as 6 AM Paid on-the-job training and shadowing provided Growth Opportunities If you're a home baker or simply curious about artisan sourdough and pastry prep, there may be opportunities later in the season to assist with dough and bake days. These are supervised, hands-on learning experiences and a great way to build bakery skills while being part of a growing local brand.
