Responsibilities Assist in food preparation and cooking, including techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and meal assembly to meet quality standards. Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients and ensuring consistency in presentation and flavor. Maintain strict adherence to food safety protocols and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment. Handle food handling responsibilities with precision, including portioning, plating, and packaging for dine-in or catering orders. Contribute to high-volume production tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and quality control. Collaborate with team members to coordinate food service operations smoothly and support a positive kitchen atmosphere. Follow all food safety management practices and sanitation guidelines to uphold health regulations at all times. Skills Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable. Strong background in food industry roles such as restaurant or catering experience, with a focus on fine dining or high-volume kitchens. Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques including poaching, braising, grilling, and food preparation methods. Knowledge of food safety management systems, sanitizing procedures, and proper food handling techniques. Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining quality standards during busy service hours. Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food production processes. Familiarity with culinary practices such as food safety sanitizing procedures, food service operations, and catering logistics.
