Full Job Description Responsibilities:

Prepare sandwiches and other food items according to customer orders

• Food Preparations
• Follow established recipes and portion sizes to ensure consistency
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients
• Handle cash transactions and operate cash register
• Provide excellent customer service, including taking customer orders and answering questions
• Upsell menu items and promote daily specials
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
• Preparing orders as per order tickets
• Working with other staff to do daily routing activities
• Handle store opening & closing activities including restaurant restocking, meat slicing, making store ready before customer start coming, cleaning, dish washing, glass cleaning, table wiping etc.

Skills:

• Experience working in a fast-paced food service environment
• Knowledge of Heartland POS system or similar point-of-sale software
• Strong food preparation skills, including slicing meats, cheeses, and vegetables
• Basic understanding of retail math for cash handling and making change
• Ability to upsell and suggest additional menu items to customers
• Familiarity with the food industry and current food trends
• Excellent time management skills to ensure orders are prepared in a timely manner
• Knowledge of proper food handling procedures to maintain safety standards
