Our deli department offers freshly prepared foods and plays a key role in providing a convenient and enjoyable shopping experience. Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Deli Clerk to join our Fremont team. This role involves food preparation, maintaining food safety standards, and providing friendly, efficient service to customers. Key Responsibilities Prepare and package deli items (hot foods, prepared dishes, sliced meats, etc.) Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, equipment, and workstations Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and health safety procedures Assist customers with orders, recommendations, and portioning Monitor product freshness, rotate items (FIFO), and discard expired products Restock ingredients and supplies as needed Operate deli equipment safely (slicers, ovens, warmers, etc.) Support other store operations as needed Qualifications Previous deli, food service, or kitchen experience preferred, but not required Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays Preferred Qualifications Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain) Multilingual skills (Korean, Spanish, or other languages) are a plus Familiarity with Asian prepared foods is a plus Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly wage (based on experience) Opportunities for growth and advancement How to Apply Please apply in person at our Fremont location or send your resume to .
