Food Processor

Our client, a specialty butcher shop and gourmet food retailer, is looking for a Deli/Cook Associate to join their team in Newport Coast, CA . In this role, you will prepare, cook, and present high-quality deli meats, cheeses, and sandwiches while delivering an exceptional customer experience in a fast-paced specialty retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and assemble sandwiches, salads, and deli items according to store recipes and quality standards Slice, package, and display deli meats and cheeses, ensuring freshness and proper product rotation Cook and prepare hot deli items while maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards Assist customers with product selection, answer questions, and provide knowledgeable recommendations Restock displays, organize inventory, and maintain a clean and safe work area Monitor product quality, discard expired items, and report inventory needs to the supervisor Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines at all times

Requirements:

Prior experience in a deli, sandwich prep, or food service environment preferred Knowledge of deli meats, cheeses, and sandwich preparation techniques Food handling and safety knowledge required Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks including slicing and assembling Ability to stand for extended periods and move efficiently throughout the deli and prep area

Open Availability Required Available Shifts:

8:00 AM

• 4:00 PM 10:00 AM
• 6:00 PM 12:00 PM
• 8:30 PM (Closing Shift) Afternoon/evening availability is typically required; must be available to work any shift, weekends, and holidays
