Summary Front of House Team Members play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless, enjoyable dining experience for all guests. Throughout their shift, employees will carry out a variety of essential duties, assisting with service, cleanliness, and customer interactions. Responsibilities include maintaining an inviting dining area, efficiently handling guest needs, and contributing to the overall success of the restaurant. Essential Duties Regardless of their specific role, all Front of House Team Members contribute to: Dining Area Maintenance
- Clear and reset tables, sanitize surfaces, and ensure seating areas are neat and welcoming. Guest Engagement
- Greet every guest warmly and ensure they feel welcomed throughout their visit, assist with inquiries, and provide attentive service throughout their visit. Pre-Bussing and Table Service
- Remove finished items from tables, refill drinks, and provide guests with needed items like napkins, utensils, and condiments. Food Running and Order Accuracy
- Transport food from the kitchen to guests, verifying that each order is complete and correctly prepared. Cash Handling and Transactions
- Take and process orders accurately, handle payments responsibly, and provide change as needed. Expo Support
- Assist with managing the flow of prepared meals, ensuring smooth service between the kitchen and guests. Dining Area Cleanliness
- Regularly sweep floors, empty trash, and promptly clean up spills using proper safety procedures. Guest Needs & Problem Solving
- Identify guests who require additional service, communicate their needs to the appropriate team members, and ensure issues are addressed efficiently. Restocking & Operational Support
- Help replenish expo stations, drink stations, and cashier supplies while assisting in general upkeep. To-Go and Delivery Orders
- Accurately take and prepare pickup and delivery orders, confirming customer details and ensuring proper packaging. Health and Safety Compliance
- Maintain cleanliness and uphold all health and food safety standards, including proper handwashing and sanitation procedures Additional Responsibilities
- Participate in deep cleaning tasks, organizational projects, or other duties as needed.
Skills and qualifications Strong hospitality mindset with a genuine enthusiasm for creating great guest experiences. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members. Ability to stay organized, multitask, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in the hospitality and service industry is helpful but not required. Team-first mentality—ready to assist wherever needed to support a smooth operation. Holds and maintains required certifications, including a valid Food Handlers Card Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of the restaurant.
