From welcoming guests and helping them navigate our menu to preparing and assembling their meals, you'll help create the fresh, flavorful, and friendly experience Bajas is known for. Our Team Members are expected to learn multiple areas of the restaurant and work together to keep operations running smoothly. What You'll Do Welcome every guest with a friendly and positive attitude. Help guests understand our menu and customize their meals. Accurately take, prepare, and assemble guest orders. Follow Bajas recipes, portions, and procedures to maintain consistent food quality. Maintain clean and organized serving, preparation, and cashier stations. Keep the dining room, restrooms, and guest areas clean and welcoming. Restock ingredients, beverages, utensils, and supplies throughout your shift. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and handwashing procedures. Assist with receiving, organizing, and putting away deliveries. Communicate clearly with coworkers and managers. Cross-train in different areas of the restaurant, including cashier, food preparation, assembly, and guest service. Help maintain the overall cleanliness and appearance of the restaurant. Complete opening, shift-change, and closing responsibilities as assigned. Assist fellow team members with additional responsibilities when needed. Safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Handle kitchen utensils, tongs, pots, pans, trays, and restaurant equipment. Work around hot cooking equipment, open flames, refrigeration, and changing temperatures. Work safely in smaller or tight work areas. Communicate frequently with guests, coworkers, and managers. Maintain the vision, awareness, and attention necessary to work safely in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
