In this lively role, you'll be the face of our fruit stand, engaging with customers and ensuring a delightful shopping experience. Your enthusiasm for healthy foods and excellent service will help promote wellness and brighten days. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food handling, customer service, and retail operations while working in a dynamic environment dedicated to quality and freshness. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting fresh fruits and related products Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the fruit stand, including display areas and storage spaces Handle cash register operations accurately, including processing sales and giving correct change Restock inventory regularly to ensure a wide variety of fresh produce is available Monitor product freshness, rotate stock as needed, and dispose of expired items responsibly Follow food safety standards diligently during handling, packaging, and display of produce Educate customers about different fruit varieties, nutritional benefits, and meal ideas to enhance their shopping experience Experience Previous experience in food handling or retail environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided Familiarity with dietary department or dietary aide roles enhances understanding of food safety protocols Experience with menu planning, food preparation, or cooking can be advantageous for customer engagement Strong skills in food service, food safety practices, and proper food handling techniques are highly valued Kitchen or restaurant experience that demonstrates attention to detail and cleanliness is beneficial Ability to operate basic point-of-sale systems and manage cash transactions accurately Enthusiasm for healthy eating, customer service excellence, and teamwork is essential for success in this role
