Overview Join our dynamic team as a Deli Clerk and become a vital part of delivering exceptional food service experiences! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving fresh deli items, ensuring food safety standards are met, and providing outstanding customer service. Responsibilities Prepare a variety of deli foods including slicing meats, cheeses, salads, and hot foods with precision and care Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all food preparation areas in accordance with food safety regulations Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently Assist customers with selections, answer questions about products, and upsell items to enhance their shopping experience Restock shelves, organize displays, and ensure all deli products are properly labeled and rotated for freshness Handle cash transactions, perform cash handling duties, and ensure accurate cash register balancing at the end of shifts Support food handling procedures including bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and adhering to sanitation standards Requirements Previous experience in food preparation or food service environments such as quick service restaurants or grocery stores is preferred Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Strong knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting Ability to perform basic math for sales transactions and retail math calculations Customer service-oriented mindset with effective communication skills Kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work flexible hours including weekends Join us as a Deli Clerk where your energy fuels our success!
