Peacock Café is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Food Service Associate to support daily café operations and provide excellent service to customers. This role involves assisting with food and beverage orders, preparing café items, maintaining clean service areas, and working closely with kitchen and front-of-house team members. The ideal candidate is reliable, attentive to detail, and comfortable working in a busy café environment. Key Responsibilities Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service. Take customer orders accurately and answer basic menu questions. Assist with preparing and serving food, coffee, and other beverages. Operate the POS system and process customer payments as needed. Communicate order details and special requests clearly with café team members. Help organize completed orders for dine-in, pickup, and takeout service. Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked counters and service stations. Restock ingredients, cups, lids, napkins, utensils, and other café supplies. Assist with routine food preparation and order assembly as assigned. Follow food-safety, sanitation, and cleanliness procedures. Support opening, closing, and daily café responsibilities. Work cooperatively with kitchen and service teams to maintain efficient operations. Qualifications Previous café, restaurant, food-service, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful. Friendly, professional, and respectful approach to customers. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Reliable, punctual, and responsible. Good attention to detail, cleanliness, and order accuracy. Comfortable working in a fast-paced customer-service environment. Able to follow instructions and learn café procedures. Willingness to support coworkers and assist with different daily tasks.
