Deli Clerk Bruno's Deli Fort Lauderdale, FL Job Details Part-time | Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Slicing (cutting method) Industrial food slicers Simple food item preparation Operating kitchen equipment Food preparation Deli counter experience Full Job Description Slice to order, build subs, and take care of guests at the counter of a family Italian deli on Oakland Park Boulevard. You are the face of Bruno's for most of the people who walk in. What you'll do Greet every guest, take orders at the counter and by phone, and keep the line moving with a smile. Slice Boar's Head meats and cheeses to order on the deli slicer, weigh and label with the scale, and wrap for the case. Build our subs and grinders to spec: the right bread, the right build, the right portion, every time. Keep the deli case stocked, rotated and looking full, and note what is running low. Ring sales on the Toast register and handle cash and cards accurately. Keep the counter, slicers and prep area clean and sanitized through the shift, and close the station down properly. Help with prepared foods, packaging and light prep when the counter is quiet. What we're looking for At least 2 years working a deli counter, slicing to order on a commercial slicer. Comfortable with a scale and price-per-pound, and with a busy lunch rush. Reliable, on time, and good with people. Regulars will know you by name. Food handler certification, or willingness to get it in the first two weeks. Weekend availability. We're open Monday to Saturday 8 to 8 and Sunday 8 to 5. Able to stand for a full shift and lift up to 40 lb. Why Bruno's A family business with roots in Bracigliano, Campania, and real Italian product on the shelves.
