Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Deli Associate to join our team. As a Deli Associate, you will play a key role in providing excellent service to our customers and ensuring the deli department operates smoothly. If you have a passion for food and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.Duties:
- Prepare and serve a variety of deli products, including sandwiches, salads, and hot food items
- Assist customers in selecting and ordering deli items
- Operate deli equipment such as slicers, ovens, and fryers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area
- Stock shelves and display cases with fresh products
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns
- Handle cash transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system
Skills:
- Strong sales skills to promote deli products and upsell to customers
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food industry regulations
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils used in a deli setting
- Previous experience in a restaurant or deli is preferred but not required
- Outstanding customer service skills to ensure customer satisfaction
