Responsibilities Prepare a variety of deli items including slicing meats, cheeses, and preparing salads or sandwiches with precision and care Engage with customers in a friendly, professional manner, providing excellent service and upselling products to enhance their experience Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for cash handling and order processing Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by regularly cleaning workstations, utensils, and food preparation areas in compliance with food safety regulations Manage food inventory levels, restocking supplies as needed to ensure product availability throughout your shift Assist with food handling duties including proper storage, labeling, and rotation to uphold freshness and safety standards Support overall store operations by bussing tables or counters, helping with basic kitchen tasks, and ensuring a smooth flow during busy periods Experience Previous experience in food preparation or food service roles within quick service or fast-food restaurants is preferred Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous Culinary experience or background working in a café, grocery store, or retail food environment will help you excel in this role Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques is essential Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell products confidently and create positive interactions with customers Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate measurement of ingredients Embark on a rewarding journey where your passion for food and commitment to service excellence make a difference every day!
