Essential functions Monitors cattle health and treats sick, injured, or stressed animals. Assists with the receiving, shipping, sorting, and processing of cattle. Work with animal health and feed delivery software system to ensure that proper medicine, animal ID, and rations are loaded and fed to the proper location. Operate heavy equipment to deliver feed, perform feedlot yard maintenance and cleaning. Perform equipment servicing and inspection and minor repairs according to maintenance requirements. Competencies Adequate verbal and written communication skills. Willingness to work non-traditional hours occasionally The ability to work with a team. Work environment You may be required to work at times in extreme weather conditions, such as rain, snow, wind, heat and cold. Ability to weekends, and holiday when shift requires. Required education and experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Preferred education and experience Experience working with cattle and cattle feeding systems. Experience operating heavy equipment in a feedlot setting.
