Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Deli Clerk and become a vital part of delivering exceptional food service experiences! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving fresh, high-quality deli products while providing outstanding customer care. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment where customers feel valued and satisfied. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills, master POS systems, such as Clover, and thrive in a fast-paced retail or food service setting. Duties Prepare a variety of deli items, including cheeses, salads, and prepared foods, with precision and food safety in mind Operate POS systems such as Clover and process transactions efficiently and accurately Provide friendly customer service by assisting shoppers with product selections, answering questions, and offering upselling suggestions to enhance their experience Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by regularly cleaning workstations, utensils, and food handling areas in compliance with health regulations Restock shelves, organize displays, and manage inventory to ensure product availability and freshness Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while balancing registers at the end of shifts Support food preparation tasks such as packaging, and assembling deli products in a quick-service environment Experience Previous experience in food preparation or working in a quick-service or fast-food restaurant is highly preferred Familiarity with POS systems like Clover and training, if necessary, is advantageous Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell products confidently and professionally Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Preferably ServSafe Certified. Will train if necessary Experience working in a retail grocery store or food industry environment is a plus Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license Must be dependable Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management Shift 7 am-3 pm full-time Mon-Fri Join us to bring your passion for food service to life!
