The Barkery is looking for a friendly, dependable and outgoing person to join our small team. Our customers rely on us for knowledgeable recommendations about foods, treats, chews and other products for their pets, so strong face-to-face communication skills and meaningful personal experience with pets are important. This is a hands-on position that includes helping customers, learning about our products, stocking inventory, filling online orders, assisting with our self-serve dog wash, cleaning and pitching in wherever needed. We're looking for someone who enjoys staying busy, takes initiative and genuinely likes talking to people.

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS

This is a 15-25 hour/week afternoon/evening and weekend position. Weekday shifts will generally be approximately 2:00-6:30 PM. Applicants must be available to work until 6:30 PM at least two days Tuesday-Friday AND one weekend day every week. Additional weekday shifts may be available based on availability, with opportunities for additional hours during holidays and other busy periods. You may be a great fit if you: Are naturally friendly and comfortable talking with customers Have strong communication and customer-service skills Have meaningful experience owning and caring for pets Are dependable and able to work independently Enjoy staying busy and take initiative Don't mind cleaning, physical work or being on your feet Can lift up to 50 lbs. Are at least 18 years old and have reliable transportation Pet-industry experience is not required. We can teach you our products and systems. We're looking for someone with great people skills, a strong work ethic and a genuine interest in pets.

Pay:

$15-$17/hour depending on experience.
