Job Description

Job Summary The Food Farmacy Associate supports daily operations of a food-as-medicine program by assisting patients at the onsite pickup location, helping carry food bags to vehicles, and sharing information about upcoming Cooking Demonstrations. This role also includes documenting activities in the EHR as needed.
Minimum Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or GED required Maryland resident Individuals eligible for the Maryland Service Year Program (generally ages 18-24)
Experience:
No prior experience required
Licensure/Certification:
None required
Skills & Abilities:
o Strong customer service and communication skills o Ability to lift and carry bags (typically 25-50 lbs) o Attention to detail and organization o Basic computer skills and ability to use the HER o Reliability and punctuality o Positive attitude and teamwork skills o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment What You'll Do
  • Assist patients at the onsite Food Farmacy pickup location
  • Help carry food bags to patients' vehicles safely
  • Share information about upcoming Cooking Demonstrations and program resources
  • Provide friendly, respectful service to patients
  • Document activities in the EHR as required
  • Support overall Food Farmacy operations, as needed What the Job is Really Like

  • Regular lifting and carrying of food bags (up to 25-50 lbs)
  • Standing and walking for extended periods
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions while assisting vehicles
