Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Cashier/Deli Associate, where you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service while efficiently managing food preparation, sales transactions, and food safety standards. Duties Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, efficient service at the cashier station and deli counter Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and swiftly Prepare and serve fresh deli foods, including slicing meats, cheeses, and assembling food orders in accordance with food safety standards Manage food handling responsibilities while maintaining sanitation and cleanliness of workstations and equipment Upsell products by recommending additional items to enhance customer experience and increase sales Handle cash register operations, process cash transactions, give accurate change, and balance cash drawers at shift end Maintain a clean workspace by following sanitation protocols, restocking supplies, and organizing the deli area for optimal efficiency Experience Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurants, retail sales, or grocery stores is highly preferred Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Culinary experience or food preparation skills are desirable for handling deli foods confidently Strong time management skills to handle multiple customer orders efficiently during busy periods Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service with a positive attitude Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations Food safety knowledge and experience in sanitation practices within the food industry or restaurant environment Join us to be part of a lively team dedicated to providing top-notch service while honing your skills in food preparation, sales, and customer engagement.
