Duties Prepare ingredients and assist with food assembly to support smooth kitchen operations Cook and plate menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards Handle food safely by following proper storage, sanitation, and hygiene protocols Support menu planning by assisting with ingredient ordering and inventory management Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with health regulations Use knife skills and culinary techniques to prepare a variety of dishes efficiently and accurately Support food service activities by coordinating with front-of-house staff for timely delivery of meals Follow all food handling procedures meticulously to ensure safety and quality standards are upheld Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating effectively with colleagues in the kitchen and dining areas Experience Candidates should bring a passion for food preparation and a strong foundation in kitchen operations. Prior experience in the food industry—including dietary department roles, dietary aide positions, or restaurant work—is highly valued. Skills in menu planning, meal preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety are essential for success. Experience with catering services or serving in fast-paced environments will give you an edge. Proficiency in knife skills, food handling procedures, and general culinary experience will enable you to excel in this role.
