Job Description
Job Summary The Vintage 1847 Restaurant at Stone Hill Winery is seeking a Back of the House (BOH) Team Member to help our kitchen run efficiently. This is a part-time position where you'll be invaluable in making sure our kitchen is always flowing safely and effectively. The BOH Team Member performs various food preparation, cooking, cleaning tasks, and dishwashing to ensure the kitchen remains efficient in creating and delivering dishes for patrons. JOB DUTIES INCLUDE
- Completing all tasks according to instruction from the Head Chef
- Labeling and stocking all ingredients on easily accessible shelves
- Washing, chopping and sorting ingredients like fruits, vegetables and meats
- Measuring quantities of seasonings and other cooking ingredients
- Following recipes thoroughly Cooking under direct supervision of the Executive Chef
- Cleaning counters and work areas, taking out the trash and sanitizing kitchen Dishwashing
- Adhering to all relevant nutrition and sanitary regulations and standards
REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE
- A fast learner with an interest in kitchen work
- The ability to stand for long hours
- Ability to adhere to health and safety rules
- Good organizational skills
- Work unsupervised in a busy environment
